Popular drone manufacturer Parrot cuts jobs! They announced that Parrot is planning to cut 290 jobs. 150 positions will be cut from the headquarter in France and the rest from other offices worldwide. According to Market Watch their 2017 goal it breaks even and just covers the operation costs.

For Parrot to survive and stay on the market, it is necessary to start innovations, or at least copy DJI like it does Autel and Walkera. 2017 can become a good year for the Parrot if they will add the good camera, gimbal and obstacle avoidance to the Bebop 3, but then, keeping the prices low will be quite a complicated task.

Not Only Parrot Cuts Jobs

As we have already mentioned last week, some drone companies started cutting jobs in the end of 2016. Ehang has cut 70 positions, Zerotech also got rid of 66 employees just in one day. And of course, well-known GoPro fail with the Karma drone caused the cut of 200 jobs (about 15% of the GoPro staff).
