The newest Phantom aircraft is built with the same external features as the original DJI Phantom 4 Pro, so that means everything from the sensor placements to the shape of the drone is identical to the older model. This was seen as a con because the upgrades are mostly internal.

The improved ESCs are built to be more efficient. The propellers have also been upgraded with an angled tip to increase efficiency and decrease flight noise .
