Maduro is frequently criticized both internally and externally for his dictatorial tendencies, potentially fraudulent electoral victories as well as his country’s experience of hyperinflation and food and medical shortages. Skepticism over the reliability of claims from the Venezuelan government understandably led many media commentators to speculate whether the Venezuelan’s government account of the drone attack was in fact, true.

The origin of all consumer UAVs of course, stems from their initial creation as weapons of war. As with other technologies that we now take for granted (like GPS) drones were developed for military purposes. As the technology became more prevalent and cheaper, they moved from the military into the consumer realm, although in a modified form. Consumer drones have seldom been used in violent attacks and we sincerely hope it stays that way.
