DJI officially unveiled Mavic 2 Pro and Mavic 2 Zoom at the See the Bigger Picture event in New York today. The Mavic 2 Pro was called the world’s first drone with an integrated Hasselblad camera, while the Mavic 2 Zoom was called the world’s first foldable consumer drone with optical zoom by Michael Oldenburg, DJI’s product communication lead.
DJI Mavic 2 Pro camera specs
The Mavic 2 Pro has a 1-inch CMOS sensor, adjustable aperture and obstacle avoidance sensors on all sides of the aircraft. The Hasselblad L1D-20c camera is the Mavic 2 Pro’s main feature, and it is rated to shoot enhanced HDR photos with 14 stops of dynamic range. Videographers will be interested in the Mavic 2 Pro’s ability to shoot 10-bit HDR videos using Dlog-M color profile because of its flexibility at color grading. Similar to the Phantom 4 Pro, the more portable Mavic 2 Pro has an adjustable f/2.8-f/11 adjustable aperture, allowing drone pilots to shoot in almost any lighting condition.

Mavic 2 Zoom camera specs
For drone users interested in getting a closer shot, the Mavic 2 Zoom has a built-in 2x optical zoom. Just like a DSLR with a zoom lens, the Mavic 2 Zoom is designed to adjust its field of view, which in this case goes from a wide 24mm to a telephoto 48mm field of view.
