DJI Mavic Air – Freewell ND Filters!

Freewell ND Filter Specs

Freewell ND filters uses high-end optical glass that is multicoated on both sides for sharp images. Their lightweight design guarantees that their filters will work with the Mavic Air gimbal. An ND4, ND8 and ND16 filter only weighs 0.5 grams, whereas the polarized and CPL filters only weigh 0.8 grams, all within a safe operating limit of the Mavic Air gimbal. Installation is as easy as just screwing the ND filter directly onto the camera. Freewell Gear also backs their accessories with a lifetime warranty, so there is no need to worry about getting defective items.

Freewell sells Mavic Air filters, starting at $29.99 all the way to the $129.99. Their Standard and Bright Day series come in a 4-pack set, and they each costs $69.99. The 8-pack set, which includes everything from ND4 to ND64 polarized filters, sells for $129.99.

Other ND Filters from another brand

Polar Pro creates ND filters for the same drone, so We Talk UAV compared filters from Freewell and Polar Pro and concluded that they both share similar build quality. Polar Pro also has a free app for calculating which ND filter to use for both iOS and Android devices, and it’s completely free to use!

Using ND filters makes a night and day difference, so make sure to grab a set to get the most out of a drone. The free Polar Pro app can be used to help decide which filter to equip in different situations, regardless of which brand of ND filters are used, so make sure to check that app out!
